Who we are

Custom Compass is operated by Compounding Context, registered in the Netherlands — the data controller for everything described below.

What we collect

Your email address (used only to sign you in with a one-time code — no password). The places you saved, starred, or reviewed in Google Maps, if you import them. The taste profile we derive from those saves. Your conversations with the concierge. The feedback you give on recommendations (👍, 👎, “tried it”), any answers you report, and basic service records (request counts and cost accounting) tied to your account. All of it is deleted with your account.

Who processes it

Supabase — our database and file storage, hosted in the EU (eu-west-1).

Anthropic— reads your chat messages to generate the concierge’s replies.

Google Places— looked up live, in real time, for every recommendation the concierge makes. Google’s results (names, ratings, addresses) are never stored on our side — only the place’s ID and a short line explaining why it was picked for you.

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it beyond these three.

Local event listings— we also ingest public what’s-on listings (from neighborhood papers like De Brug and Oost-Online, the City of Amsterdam’s activities calendar, and Ticketmaster) so the concierge can tell you what’s happening nearby. That’s public content flowing in, not your data flowing out — none of your information is sent to these sources, and event suggestions always link back to them.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it. Deleting your data or your account removes it immediately from our active database and storage — it doesn’t sit in a queue or wait for a grace period.

Deleting your data

Signed in: go to Settings, where you can delete just your imported data (your account stays active) or delete your account entirely, immediately and permanently.
